![]() ![]() I couldn't move it, though, and moving the container object didn't help. The next time, it also ended up in the pattern, but I could see it. Could that not be done for custom patterns as well? I had one instance this morning where the x disappeared into the pattern itself and I couldn't find it. When I save the file as PNG, the drop shadow is not saved. I have applied a drop shadow filter to the text. I was so pleased in Version 1 to find that the handles for ready-made patterns are now so well behaved. Posts: 2 Joined: Wed 2:23 pm SOLVED Filters Not Saved in PNG Postby undoIT Wed 2:31 pm I have created a graphic with multiple layers. ![]() The handles for custom patterns are a pain in the neck. ![]() In the meantime, I do have another question/comment. I'll try to keep working on it till I get a procedure that works. The first thing you can do when you start to notice any of these issues, is to click File menu > Clean Up Document. ![]() And here are some ways to either avoid these issues, or to continue working in a file, when you already have these issues. I'm also having trouble with getting rid of extraneous objects in a file and mysterious duplicates of a pattern, but maybe I'll get that figured out with practice. using the Objects dialog (Objects menu > Objects) various combinations of the above. I can't remember converting to a pattern on the one that worked earlier, but what do I know? I've now tried a few that I've converted to pattern and they seem to work, though I've had a couple of crashes when I tried to apply them to a new object. I hadn't realized that I must convert to a pattern before putting a drawing in Paint Servers. I've tried this twice more with the same results. 1 I'm trying to write an extension that will export an svg file for every layer in my inkscape scene. Inkscape doesn't crash, and the file doesn't show up in Paint Server. No matter which format you want to export to, it is recommended to only use the Save a Copy functionality for this, and to save your original file as Inkscape. I tried another pattern and saved it in the Paint Server folder. I uninstalled and reinstalled Inkscape 1.1.1, same as before, on my Windows 10 64-bit computer. I wondered whether the problem was somehow the copying of the object to a new doc and then saving that in the Paint Server folder, so this time I built a pattern from scratch being careful not to leave any scraps. I went into the Paint Server folder and deleted both documents, restarted Inkscape, and Inkscape worked ok without the custom patterns. Inkscape crashed when I tried to use the new Paint Server. svg and subsequently into Illustrator (and Inkscape) regularly for final edit before printing (on a wide format printer). Unworried, I figured I could just paste the good pattern into another doc, add it to the Paint Server folder, and then go in and get rid of the old one. However, the initial document had some scraps left over from my experiments, and they each showed up as numbered patterns in the Paint Servers. The pattern I initially tried out showed up in the Paint Servers just fine and worked to fill new objects. Here's what has happened and what I've tried. This is so annoying because I auto-validate all my HTML, CSS and SVG files before they are let through, and now it keeps breaking/failing all the time due to the (apparently) broken SVG saving in InkScape.I thought things were working well, but no. svg, so it's not specifically related to using the "optimized" SVG format. The same exact error happens even if I just "save as" a normal. It appears as if InkScape is producing invalid SVG files? Or is the v.Nu validator broken? I have searched all over the program and save dialogue box for some way to "disable aria-label" or similar, but there's just no such option. svg file in a text editor and remove the aria-label="?" part, it then passes validation. This is the v.Nu error: Attribute “aria-label” not allowed on element “g” at this point. When I went to open the new file, the background isnt showing. svg file which renders in my browser but fails validation with the "v.Nu" HTML/CSS/SVG validator program. I have created an image with various SVG files. After making a logo in InkScape 1.0.1 (also tried with 1.0.2, the latest version), "Save as" optimized SVG, it produces an. ![]()
